Cellarhand – Jack/Jill of All Trades
This can be a Full time job with benefits.
This is a chance to work for a small, local business committed to making high quality craft cider. The right person for this position needs to be comfortable with a non-corporate work environment and flexibility. Previous experience in winemaking, cidermaking or beer brewing are great but even more importantly is a passion for making craft products and a willingness to learn. Here you will be a key part of our small team – representing Texas Keeper out on the community with chance to learn about how to make the best Cider in Texas and grow with our team.
This a great job for someone who wants to do different tasks each day.
The particulars:
Standard work week will be 32 hours per week with comp time and paid vacation and healthcare available for Full Time Candidates. 17 – 20 dollars per hour depending on skill set. Full Time candidates would likely need to work one day on the weekend on the Farm Market or Taproom side of the business.
An estimated week looks like:
Mondays- bottling and kegging cider with the Production Team
Tuesday- Packaging/Labelling, Cellar Work and Land work at the cidery
Wednesday and Thursdays – wholesale deliveries and cellar/land/ops work as needed
Friday Off
Full time candidates would rep Texas Keeper at one of our weekly Farm Markets
Other operations tasks as needed
Essential skills/qualities for the job include:
-Clean driving record – critical
-Track record of trust
-Desire to work independently but within a small team making a high quality product
-An interest in the cidermaking/winemaking/brewing field
-Attention to detail
-Motivated to get through a task as efficiently and thoroughly as possible
-Friendliness
-Ability to lift 50 lbs
-Comfortable standing for a total of ~ 8 hours
-General keenness
Preferred Skills
-Experience operating a forklift
-Experience driving a tractor
-Experience operating a variety of tools
-Experience in a Taproom/Bar/Farm Market

Farmers Market Lead
Opportunity:
We are looking for a self motivated team member to join us and hold down 1 or 2 of our Farmers Market stalls per week. These markets are located in San Antonio and North Austin. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who likes to manage themselves, that excels at getting a job done without someone looking over their shoulder. Someone who is motivated by making a sale, and appreciates good cider and wine.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain market stall equipment
Load Company Van
Set up Market – with an eye to making things look sharp, which helps sales
Actively engage with farmer market guests to taste through our ciders, educate them on who we are, and how we make our products
Sell our Ciders
Pack Van and Return equipment to the cidery
Hours and Schedule
Saturday and Sunday Markets usually run 9-1 or 10-2 and require a shift of around 7 hrs with the day starting at 8am and finishing around 3pm.
Compensation
The position is compensated through a mix of per diem guarantee $90 per day, commission on sales and tips. Weekly expectations should range between $21-36 dollars per hour depending on sales acumen.
Experience Needed:
Demonstrated experience managing yourself – arrive on time, get the job done
Excellent track record in sales or customer service
Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs
Friendly and outgoing
Must enjoy talking to the public
