Auguste Cerise arrives this Saturday, 8/20 to help us leave the Summer doldrums behind. Cooler days are coming, my friends! This year we're releasing two quite different iterations of Auguste Cerise: First, a 2021 vintage made with heirloom apples, and double fermented with Balaton and Montmorency sour cherries. Finished a click off bone dry. ABV 8.9% Second, we present to you the first in our Boxcar Series. The Boxcar ciders are all very small, one-off barrel aging projects. So named because our "Barrel Hall" is actually a series of refrigerated boxcar shipping containers, which you see when you visit the Cidery! (And also a reference to The Boxcar Children, naturally.) Boxcar Cerise is 2018 August Cerise laid down in Vino de Naranja casks. Vino de Naranja is a fortified Spanish wine made similarly to sherry but steeped with Seville oranges. Completely dry, slight effervescence, with herbal, toffee and brandied fruit notes. ABV 9.5%
Born and raised in Barcelona, David P. Goode moved to Austin in 2019. He spent more than twenty years gigging in local bars and honky tonks, searching for fame and fortune to becamo the 6th Certified Guitar Player by Chet Atkins. While none of this has happened yet (and probably never will) he keeps trying. In the meantime he enjoys playing country, blues and folk covers but also songs in Catalan and Spanish. He has a wide range of musical influences from Hank Williams, Chuck Berry, Beatles, CCR, Dylan and AC/DC (just to name a few). Requests from the audience is always welcome, and because of this, his setlist usually evolves during his performances. An extra guitar and uke are also always present on stage so that guest performers may jump in. The overall goal of his shows is to have fun, and make sure that the audience is having fun. As the lyrics in his possibly platinum record that he may one day record states, "David P. Goode has fun since the day he was born (and probably always will)". Check out 'David P. Goode' channel in You Tube.
James cut his teeth in the Philadelphia indie rock scene, toured the Northeast as frontman to bands like The Sobriquets and The Way Home, spent half a decade in the woods of the Hudson Valley shedding, and now brings his potent voice and ebullient energy to ATX. Powerhouse vocals over woodsy guitars, literate songs times wry banter, floor-to-ceiling dynamics plus wall-to-wall heart. @schwaejames https://jameshearne.com/booking
