Erik Flores is a singer songwriter from the Texas hill country whose solo
music reflects exactly that. Texas hill country. His career up to this
point has been varied and exciting, starting in Austin,TX with projects
ranging from Rock n Roll to Folk to Conjunto and Salsa and eventually
landing him in Los Angeles for a 10yr stretch where he reconnected
with his love of Americana/Country music. After founding the band
Fairbanks & the Lonesome Light, gaining some notoriety and recording
2 albums he returned home to Texas and settled down in Driftwood
where he writes and records the songs that will be the coming chapters
of his career. His current band Fairbanks & the Lonesome Light is
shared with singer/writer Amelia Rose Logan. It is a collection of songs
written in two part harmony and built on a solid foundation of Indie
Folk/Americana music. They drawn from the same traditions that Jeff
Tweedy, The Band, Neil Young, Gillian Welch and others seem to lean
toward. Erikās solo performances pull from this catalogue but are
peppered with cover songs that speak more to his classic Texas
influences including Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett, Townes Van Zandt, Blaze
Foley, Willie Nelson and other similar artists. You can find Erik playing
locally with Fairbanks & the Lonesome Light and performing solo in and
around Central Texas when heās not further out on the road.
